Concert Band
The Whittier Christian High School Band and Instrumental Music are programs centered around excellence. No matter the student, and no matter the skill level, the WCHS Band and Instrumental Music programs ensure a meaningful and rigorous experience and education year-round. The programs focus on a baseline training in music theory, sight singing and dictation, instrumental practice & performance, music history and music cultures by way of listening, reading, writing, and discussing. Having overcome many challenges in the midst of the challenging years of Covid 19, the program is in its stages of rebirth and new life. This has created a brilliant opportunity for every student’s potential to be fostered and maximized as well as for each individual student’s needs to be met as best as possible. All to the Glory of God.
Pep Band & Drumline
The Heralds Pep Band & Drumline play at school events such as assemblies and Home Football games. They serve to hype up the crowd and add to the team morale and audience atmosphere. This group is a part of a long tradition of making the games and assemblies better!
Students will receive one (1) semester of PE Credit for participating in the Fall Semester. You must attend at least 2 home games to receive credit.
